LinA´s Members updated 10. Apr 1997

In the following, you will find a list of the current members who are working on LinA´s Engine. Check out the role of the coordinator, engine driver, designer, FTP-archiver, bug-checker, and developer. For each role , except bug-checker and developer, we intend to have a first and second person, where the second person is informed by the first person about what he/she is doing, in order to finish his/her part, if neccessary. This helps to keep the project independent of one person. Beyond this, the roles will change after a certain period. So please look for the current member list before contacting a LinA-member.

Are you interested in LinA, and would you like to be part of the team? Well, all newcomers are welcome; however, members should have a good knowledge of AMT/AMTPE, the K language, the Media Tool framework, the Mac and Windoze systems, and have a little time to devote to the project. If you are interested, please send a message describing your desired role to Greg Reitter, our coordinator.

The Coordinator updated 23. Feb 1997

The Coordinator gathers enrollments and requests, and maintains the feature database.

  1. Greg Reitter <greg@islande.polytechnique.fr>

The Engine Driver updated 15. Feb 1997

The Engine Driver works with the new code and the LinA Engine to make them fit. The next step is to create a new dummy-engine.rsrc file which contains dummy icons and dummy dialog boxes. Finally the so-called lifted-engine.rsrc file will be compiled and the code for RM will be produced.

  1. Frank Budszuhn <f.budszuhn@steinberg.de>

The Designer updated 15. Feb 1997

The Designer makes the spirit of LinA visual by designing the final engine icon, LinA logo and all new icons and dialog boxes of the new engine. For this, he/she needs the dummy-engine.rsrc file, which then goes back to the engine driver as the lifted-engine.rsrc file for creating the alpha-release engine.

  1. Claus Medvesek <cmedvesek@eclat.ch>

The FTP Archiver updated 15. Feb 1997

The FTP Archiver controls the distribution.

  1. Mark Fleming <markf@post.queensu.ca>

The Bug Checker updated 15. Feb 1997

Sebbah, Gèrard (France):

He´s a freelance developer since 1989. And is in charge of the technical support (hot-line) at APDA France since October 1989.

He began programming in 1984 on a TI99 (Texas Instrument), then bought an Apple IIe on which he has written some programs in assembly language. In 1990, he moved to the Macintosh after a short Apple IIGS transition.

He discovered Prograph CPX (from Pictorius) which was, for him, certainly the best programming environment he ever experienced.

In 1994, he began using AMT/PE and, since this date, he never changed his mind: this is the best tool for creating multimedia titles. He has made four titles, specially written for a TV company.

He knows AML, Prograph language, HyperTalk, C, Pascal.

What more? He loves cats and hates C programming.
